TWICT - What We Do

Tonga Women in ICT (TWICT) works to empower women, girls, youth, and communities across Tonga through technology, digital skills, innovation, and leadership. We deliver practical programmes, awareness campaigns, and community initiatives that promote safe, inclusive, and meaningful participation in the digital world.

Through partnerships with government agencies, schools, community organizations, development partners, and the private sector, TWICT is helping build a more digitally connected and resilient Tonga.

1. Digital Literacy

We help people develop the digital skills needed for education, employment, and everyday life. Our workshops introduce participants to computers, online tools, digital communication, and responsible use of technology. (Computer training, School visits, Basic ICT training)

2. Cyber Safety

TWICT promotes safe and responsible use of digital technology by educating children, youth, parents, teachers, and communities about cyber threats, online safety, privacy, cyberbullying, and digital citizenship. (Cybersecurity Bootcamp, Cyber safety awareness sessions, CERT Tonga collaborations)

3. STEM Education

We inspire future innovators through STEM activities that encourage creativity, problem-solving, coding, robotics, engineering, and science. (STEM Series, Robotics, Coding workshops, Girls in ICT Day)

4. Women & Girls in ICT

We encourage women and girls to explore careers in technology by providing mentorship, networking opportunities, leadership development, and practical ICT learning experiences. (Girls in ICT Day, Women speakers, Mentorship sessions)
