Empowering People with Disabilities through Digital Skills
17April2025 - A powerful milestone for TWICT as we proudly hosted an interactive learning event focused on enhancing digital skills for people with disabilities.
We were honored to welcome the Second Secretary Development, DFAT, Ms. Elle Bradshaw, our partners from Tonga National University, USP Tonga Campus, Ministry of Education , various NGOs, community leaders, and most importantly our people with disabilities and their families.
This event wasn't just about learning tech, it was about breaking barriers, building confidence, and making sure no one is left behind in our digital future. Participants explored assistive technologies, gained hands-on skills, and voiced the need for inclusive tech policies in the workplace and beyond. Ie: JAWS, NVAD, Visual AI, Copilot Voice Speech, Microsoft Speech Services etc. To the Government of Australia & Commonwealth of Learning — mālō ‘aupito for trusting us and enabling this one-of-a-kind collaboration to happen. This is just the beginning.
